In 2022 we celebrated the culmination of two years of work to bring together Capital Impact Partners, CDC Small Business Finance, and Ventures Lending Technologies as the Momentus Capital family of organizations.
You can learn more about our journey to create this first-of-its-kind enterprise to transform the financial sector and better serve communities and small businesses in my blog post. Through the Momentus Capital family of organizations, we are working with small business owners, local real estate developers, and other mission-minded local leaders to champion their solutions and build healthy, inclusive, and equitable communities. These numbers and the stories that follow provide a snapshot into the impact we are having for and with communities.
For too long, people in underestimated communities and people of color have been denied the types of capital and support they need to realize the dreams they have for themselves, their families, and their neighborhoods. Therefore, it is incumbent upon us to measure our own impact – both through our work and how we manage our own organization – by making demonstrated progress in supporting BIPOC leaders and staff.
Board of Directors | Momentus Capital Staff | Executive Management Team | Lending Teams | Program Teams | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
BIPOC | 58.82% | 50.55% | 71.43% | 51.95% | 56% |
Female | 35.29% | 57.82% | 28.57% | 59.09% | 48% |
Momentus Capital’s mission-focused leadership team and board of directors bring decades of experience supporting community and economic development across the country. Their experience spans community development, capital deployment, small business, policy and impact investing.
